Silver declines on sell-off by participants

Silver prices on Tuesday fell by ₹3,743 to ₹1,92,050 per kilogram in futures trade as participants reduced their bets.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for December delivery declined by ₹3,743, or 1.91 per cent, to ₹1,92,050 per kg in a business turnover of 3,482 lots.

Analysts said a sell-off by participants mainly weighed on silver prices.

Globally, the white metal was trading 2.14 per cent down at $52.81 per ounce in New York.
